She is joined by Jarek Czevowicz on guitar and they discuss the nature of improvisation, sonic meditation, and Anne's new compostion Rain Now and Then, upon which they will be improvising on Friday along with David Jones (drums and percussion) and Mel Robinson (cello).

Anne created play stations of sound making objects for young children to explore, and also wandered through the Great Hall playing shakuhachi to children and their carers. Organised by the Song Room.

A video entitled Hiroshima Hibakusha, Mr Yoshinori Tsukishita was screened at the JfP's Peace Concert 2011 on 6th of August 2011 @ the Village Roadshow theatrette at the State Library of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia. The video was made by Shizuka Kandori, and features the shakuhachi piece "Alone in a Strange Place" composed and performed by Anne Norman. Mr Yoshinori Tsukishita is a sumie artist who survived the bombing of Hiroshima.

April 9th: Interfaith Prayer and Chant Ceremony for Japan
Prayers, chants, music and reflections for the people of Japan following the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami on March 11, 2011. Sponsored by the Interfaith Centre of Melbourne and the Buddhist Council of Victoria at BMW Edge, Federation Square, Melbourne, Sat 9th April, from 10:00 am to 11:15 am. Anne is playing the shakuhachi meditation Tamuke 手向, literally ‘Hands held up in Offering (to the Buddha)’.

Mar 25th-27th 2011: ‘Ringing the Changes’
Anne Norman’s PPBells are performed by the internationally celebrated ensemble, Strange Fruit, as a part of the Ten Days on the Island festival in Port Arthur, Tasmania. ‘Ringing the Changes’ is performed by acrobats perched atop five-metre poles, swaying among a forest of Anne’s Power Pole Bells and the Federation Bells. The effect is mesmeric, moving and intoxicating, building from quiet meditation to a crescendo of massed bells and percussion.
